Terms of use

Last updated 11 October 2026

The plain-English rules for using Outlist. By creating a venue or pairing a screen, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Outlist (outlist.pro) is run by Harry West, Adelaide, South Australia. "We" means Outlist. "You" means the venue using Outlist and the person who sets it up for the venue. If you set Outlist up for a business, you confirm you're allowed to agree to these terms for it.

2. What Outlist does

Outlist lets your kitchen, bars and floor share what's out or running low, on screens you likely already own. It's a communication tool. It helps your team, but it doesn't replace them talking to each other.

Allergens and food safety: don't rely on Outlist for allergen, dietary or food safety information. Always confirm those directly with the kitchen.

3. Your venue and screens

  • Keep your manager PIN private. Anyone with it can change your venue's setup.
  • Only approve screens you can see in your venue. You're responsible for what approved screens do.
  • If you think someone has your PIN or venue code, change them in Manager setup and tell us.
  • You're responsible for your devices, their internet connection, and keeping them on and charged.

4. Fair use

Please don't:

  • use Outlist for anything unlawful, or put offensive or personal information in item names or notes;
  • try to access another venue's data, or get around PINs, approvals or other security;
  • overload, attack, scrape or reverse engineer the service;
  • resell or rebrand Outlist without our written permission.

5. Your content

Your menu, notes and history belong to you. You let us store, copy and show them only as needed to run Outlist for you. How we handle information is set out in our privacy policy.

6. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Outlist running, but it relies on the internet, your devices and third-party providers, so we can't promise it will always be available, on time or error-free. Screens warn when another station goes offline. If that happens, fall back to talking to each other. We may improve, change or remove features over time, and we'll give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect you.

7. Ending things

You can stop using Outlist at any time and ask us to delete your venue. We may suspend or close a venue that breaks these terms or puts the service or other venues at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll contact you first.

8. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Apart from those, and to the extent the law allows:

  • Outlist is provided "as is";
  • we aren't responsible for indirect losses, including lost sales, refunds, comps or customer complaints, for example if an item is sold after being marked out;
  • where our liability can be limited, it's limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, let venues know on the site before they apply. Continuing to use Outlist after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia. Questions? Email harry@harrywest.dev.
